I have tried while and for loops but still couldn't get it to work the way I wanted.Īnother problem is that for YouTube playlists, is there a way to skip on that playlist? And how do I do it? Is there a way to make the bot continously play through the queue? Better yet, is there a way to have a play function that I can call again and again in the command event? That would make skipping songs much easier. If the queue has 2 songs, then when I hit ?play, it will play the first song, then stops, I need to hit ?play again to continue. ![]() Is there a way to play the audio directly from YouTube? Without the need to download anything?Īnother problem is the play command. As far as I know the code tries to download the audio from YouTube and then plays it, which is kinda unoptimised, because the clip might be long or the host machine might lack the processing power or the bandwith to handle that. I found a little bit of code that looks like this from a YouTube channel that I kinda condensed to what I wanted. Hi, I'm trying to have a self hosted bot for music from YouTube, since Google took down Groovy and Rythm, I'm sure that they will make sure that other commercial bots won't be able to play their music if they haven't already done so.
